Well, it was hard to leave Germany. It's a great place and I only got to see a fraction of it. I slammed this (pictured) for breakfast at the Stuttgart airport. The two white sausages were great, smeared with mustard of course. And the beer is ridiculously good, even in the morning. I'm headed out to Alaska on the 14th. I'm driving this year so can take Rocket. (He always wanted to see Alaska.) We're camping, salmon fishing, hiking. My traveling companion for the first week will be Steve Schroeder (aka Big Daddy Schroeder). He's going as far as Anchorage and then flying back. I'm staying for as long as the bug repellent lasts, or the price of gas forces me to return. There should be some good reports from the field, but I'm not promising anything. Here's a photo of Schroeder so you can see what I'm having to work with this year. But at least he's on board.
