Rocket and I are wrapping up the hunting season. There may be a few more duck hunts, but most of the seasons are closing. If the North Platte freezes in the next couple days there will be some excellent late season shooting. January and February are months where I slow down and try to get some writing done. I have a bunch of half-written essays to complete. The Missouri Review, Grays, and Fly Fishing Journal have bought some recent work of mine. Also, I now have a Go Pro, so I can post videos, like "A day at work", or "Rocket chasing ducks" to this blog. My special lady friend (SLF) bought me the Go Pro. Mrs. Doubtfire bought me some tools. He said he was tired of me not owning my own.
