The short stories are flowing. I usually write essays. But that's not the vibe right now. I've written maybe five short stories riffing off of "Trout of the Month Club", a story I published in Gray's in April. Writing seems easy right now. I know these kinds of things don't come around all of the time, so I'm hard at it every morning. But, still, in Alaska, you have to get out on the water when you can. This fish went maybe 70 pounds. I caught it with Captain Jeff of Good Time Charters. Jeff grew up in Homer and knows his stuff. He plucks a good fish out of some of his favorite places on nearly every trip he takes. Most are 15-20 pounds, good eaters.
